Saturday 31 March 2012

Good morning bloggers, it's the weekend again and I'm going to pop into town today I think for a bit of retail therapy.

I'm a hopeless failed dieter and all my clothes are too tight so I'm going to get something new. I've refused to buy a bigger size for too long but I think I'm going to finally have to give in and resign myself to the fact that I'll never be thin  ...it's SO hard!

I have a card today to show you using Emma 'presents' from Lili of the Valley (where else lol, I do use other things ...honestly!!)

I love this image, I think it's her little pigeon toes!

I used Core'dinations card, Spellbinders dies, copic markers, lace and flowers from the Ribbon Girl, corner punch (not sure what make this is sorry), K & Co papers and the sentiment was printed on the computer

Hope you like my card, please keep visiting and I'll have a great candy giveaway shortly

Enjoy your Saturday!

week 9 - peaches and cream - 1st march

I used Core’dinations card, Martha Stewart punch, distress stickles, flowers from Wild Orchid crafts and Spellbinders circle dies

If you're still popping by my little blog then thanks very much, it's a week old whey hey   ...and I've got 36 followers!!

This will be my last post for a few days, I'm up at the crack of dawn tomorrow and heading off to Birmingham for 4 days.
I've got my birthday money so I'm hoping I'll get chance to do some shopping myself.

If you're coming to the show then do come by and say hello, it's always lovely to meet people in real life!

Bye for now, please visit again next week for more cards and I'll have some candy to give away.

Another die cut card ….

Hi everyone and thanks again for visiting, we’re getting ready for Birmingham so things are a bit hectic at work this week.

The brand new range of stamps is out for sale on the website on March 28th but will be available exclusively at the NEC this week so make sure you visit the Lili of the Valley stand if you go to the show. There are sneak peeks all week on the blog to give you a taster of what’s new!

This is another card using the die cuts, hope you like it. It was made to a sketch for a challenge on Lili’s Little Fairies, I found it a very hard one to follow but I think it turned out ok.

die cut card

I used Core’dinations card, Magnolia patterned papers, Doo Hickey and Spellbinders dies, glamour dust, seam binding and Lili of the Valley grunge corners

Thanks for looking

Monday 19 March 2012

today, a die cut card ...

Hi again everyone - and thanks for visiting my blog

Hope you're having a good Monday, it's been a beautiful day here in Leeds and feels like Spring

I've been making a few quick cards for our new showroom and the exhibition stands using our Lili of the Valley die cut images.
These are great if you aren't a stamper or don't have time for colouring, there are 6 on a sheet and they're ready to use

This is a very simple card and took no time at all to make, you just need a nice backing paper, a bit of ribbon, a couple of pearls and you're done!

Hope you'll pop back tomorrow, have a good evening xx

Sunday 18 March 2012

and the winner is ….

Good evening everyone,  if you popped back earlier to see if you had won one of the blog hop prizes then apologies for the late post

It was another long day at the Harrogate show but very enjoyable, thanks to everyone who came by to say hello, it’s always lovely to put faces to names

I’ve just had a lovely soak in the bath with a glass of wine and some chocolate that I got for Mothers day

I’ve picked a random winner (I actually got my son to stick a pin in the list – very technical) and the lucky lady to get my blog prize is ….

*** MagsB ***

Well done Mags, send me your address to anne@liliofthevalley.co.uk and the LOTV ‘shall we dance’ stamp that we all used will be with you before it’s even been released

Thanks to everybody who took part and left me a lovely comment, it was a great start to my blog and do I hope you’ll keep coming back because I have loads more cards to show you and there will be a fabulous candy giveaway soon

Come and see us at the ‘Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza’ this weekend

Hi everyone, no card today as I’ve been at the Harrogate show all day (and I’m not quite organised enough yet to be scheduling posts!)

If you’re going to the show then make sure you pop along to the Lili of the Valley stand and say hello. I’m doing some ProMarker basics on the make and take stand with the fabulous Bev who is our very own colouring guru!!

I’m still practising my colouring, it’s an art and you’re not going to learn it overnight but a few hints and tips on shading and blending from an expert can have you coming on in leaps and bounds

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and make sure you stop by tomorrow because one of the prizes from the blog hop is going to someone who left a comment on my post. I'll do the draw tomorrow evening when I get back from the show and put the winners details on here

I usually tend to use the Lili of the Valley children rather than the animals but I really like this adorable pair and I enjoyed making these.

For your information here’s what I used; Core’dinations card, Doo Hickey and Spellbinders dies, Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils, ribbons and flowers from The Ribbon Girl, Maja Design backing papers, Tim Holtz music tissue strip, Stickles stardust

I hope you like my post today and have enjoyed the blog hop, don’t forget to leave a comment for all the designers to be in with a chance of the prize.

I feel very fortunate to be part of Lili of the Valley and to work with such a talented bunch of girls. I’d love you to follow my blog and visit regularly, I’m going to try and post something new every day and there will be plenty of ideas, tips and candy.

Bye for now
